leyland national pcd 80r bRestoration of Leyland National PCD 80R

Paul Llewellyn's Leyland National PCD 80R was collected from it's resting place, and transported to Faversham to begin work.

The front of the bus was stripped off and parts replaced.

The first outing for the newly finished bus was Detling, with other classic buses. Here it is with Paul Llewellyn, and the team that made it looks so good.

This great Bedford OB Bus owned by Ray Lockett, has beautiful art deco like interiors and a Plaxton body.

We remade the interior of the boot and repainted the bodywork, to a high standard. The interior was refitted with new timber stays and board and re-upholstered to it's original look.

Owned & preserved since 1967 by the M&D and East Kent Bus Club,former Maidstone & District double-deck bus HKE 867 (fleet number DH159) returned to one of its former haunts in February 2010 for some restoration work.

We have completed various restorations for Classic Omnibus, notably this Leyland PD3 restoration, that was made sound & finished to look authentic.

The platform to the rear was stripped and rebuilt, along with wheel arches. The upper deck seat were also retrimmed.

First all the panels were checked for damage and those were then replaced.

The bonnet of the bus was repaired with fibreglass.

All the seats were removed from the bus so they could be redone with a new powder coating.

The walls & ceilings were sanded down to receive their new colour.
