Restoration of Leyland National PCD 80R
With the success of the Olympic Torch Relay we had a lot of interest in the two Malta Buses that were converted especially for the tour to be converted back to the original specification.
This bus had a new platform area built to the rear that had to be reconstructed back to the original rear shell. The interior had been stripped and new seating configuration was implemented for the tour. This had to be reinstated to the specification of the Public Service Vehicle when in use in Malta as requested by the client.
Although most of the original parts were kept some parts had to be reconstructed and suitable alternatives found for others.
